                           VECTOR AND EQUILIBRIUM

1: DEFINITIONS:-

 SCALAR

Those physical quantities which can be described by magnitude only are called scalar
      e.g.,
                    mass, length, time, etc.

VECTOR 

Those physical quantities which require both magnitude as well as direction  for their complete description
e.g.,
         force .
A vector quantites are represented by an arrow head line.

RECTANGULAR COORDINATE SYSTEM 

It is a system of two or three lines drawn at right angle to each other.
